So COVID-19 canceled our 2020 conference. Now what?

Why, Plan B, of course! Since you couldn’t come to us for conference, we are bringing some of the best benefits of conference to you:  namely, training and networking, right on your computer screen every Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.

If you are an advertising sales professional in Florida and you sell direct mail, newspaper, magazine, TV, commercial print, radio, digital or specialty advertising products, you are invited to participate in these weekly Zoom meetings hosted by the Florida Media Association. We have created this open and free seminar series to help you increase your – and your customers’ – businesses to come back strong post-COVID. If you aren’t currently a member of the association, send your name, title, email address and contact information to the Executive Director to be added to the invitation list.

Here’s what we have planned for the next few weeks:

July 1, 4:00 p.m. – Publishers and Sales Professionals

The right engagement equals revenue, if it’s done right! So this week’s call will focus on:

  • How do you (your business) engage in the community so that YOU (your business) becomes known as THE local expert?
  • How do you leverage community engagement to produce revenue?

July 8, 4:00 p.m. – Publishers

Tim Bingaman from CVC will join us once again. The topic this time will be how to design a free local survey of your readership, such as – no, exactly like! – the one we shared earlier this week from Laker/Lutz News. Wouldn’t you like to know EXACTLY what your readers are planning to buy so you can share that documented, verified information with your advertisers? This meeting is for publishers, but we certainly expect you to share the survey results with your reps so they can use it to monetize the information your survey produces.

June 24 – Sales Reps

Marc Nudelberg, a former Division 1 college football coach turned entrepreneur, will use his relationship building, sales and digital marketing expertise to show us how to modernize several aspects of the sales process in this special session especially for sales reps. You don’t want to miss it!

June 17 – Editors & Content Developers

Today, augmenting audiences is extremely important to growing your brand and enhancing results for your  advertisers! Do you have your finger on the pulse of your audience? What do they want more of? Or less of? How do you find out? Bring your best tips to share with others and take home a few new ones yourself.

June 10 – General Managers / CEO’s Publishers / Sales Directors & Managers

Are your sales reps performing at the top of their game in this challenging environment? Do you know what they’re hearing in the streets? If they aren’t performing up to snuff as your business reopens, it’s time to talk about how to help them get there. And if you haven’t heard what they’re hearing, we’ll recap it for you.
